Beyhive, please don’t shoot the messenger! Beyonce has announced she will no longer perform at the Coachella Music Festival in April 2017. However, she has a very good reason. It’s the doctor’s orders, since she is pregnant with twins.
Queen Bey will reschedule for next year, and return for Coachella 2018, but this year she is sitting it out. According to Associated Press — Beyonce’s company, Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice, sent a statement that Beyonce is dropping out of the headlining performance and will no longer perform at Coachella 2017, due to her pregnancy.
The statement read, “Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
For true fans who’s concerned about the superstar, twin-mom-to-be’s, well being, then this should come as no surprise. Beyonce announced earlier this month that she was preggo, so the writing was on the wall. It’s a disappointing blow, especially for those Beyonce fans who’s already bought passes, because unfortunately Coachella tickets are not refundable in this case. However, there are plenty more acts, so all is not lost. Cheer up!
Rest easy Beyonce and the Beytwins!
